Bibimbap is a popular Korean dish in Japan. We call it “Bibinba (ビビンバ)” in Japanese. Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (seasoned vegetables), gochujang (chili pepper paste) egg and fried beef.
I used to go to Korean restaurant when I worked in Ikebukuro in Tokyo. There are a lot of Korean restaurant in Ikebukuro. The Bibimbap was one of my favorite power lunch! It is easy and quick to make and eat.
You can get gochuchang in Asian groceries in Hakaniemi. Best kimchi (Korean hot pickles) is from Vii voan on Hämeentie street in Hakaniemi. Or you can make it at home!
